The Unattainable Standard in a gallery setting

The idea behind the piece is to highlight how echo chambers can be completely consuming, affecting users of any age and consequently manipulating and driving ideologies. This piece is to imitate my own echo chamber and perhaps one that may be relatable to others. I used the recognisable AI voice of Alexa to verbalise the data I am exposed to within a singular minute of looking at my Instagram explore page. The use of AI audio was to explore the battle of control between the user and the device, as definitely through a stage of my life, the device gained control. I was completely absorbed by the content I was seeing, creating unrealistic standards of what I sought to be. The visual accompaniment of a younger version of myself, my sister, being controlled and manipulated by the echo chamber, is to imitate where it perhaps all started.
